Jane Goodall
"We can't leave people in abject poverty, so we need to raise the standard of living for 80% of the world's people, while bringing it down considerably for the 20% who are destroying our natural resources. "

"You ask me why I do not write something.... I think one's feelings waste themselves in words, they ought all to be distilled into actions and into actions which bring results.

Stephen Hawking
The mass of the sun curves space-time in such a way that although the earth follows a straight path in four-dimensional space-time, it appears to us to move along a circular orbit in three-dimensional space.

Materials In the Artworks

by Ricky Swallow, 2000

This work of art is made of pigmented resin and plywood. The scale of this sculpture is 1:1.We could see the details form the other image. The material figures the appearance of the skeleton well, especially the reticular texture, which well represents the stress and the distress in the hell. I guess Ricky Swallow made it by hand therefore he could figure the details and the appearance so perfectly.

Game Boys Advanced, by Patricia Piccinini
This artwork is made by silicone, polyurethane, clothing, and human hair. It was showed in the exhibition of We Are Family in Venice in 2003. The details image shows the faces of these two persons, which are obviously creasy. Patricia Piccinini applied these kinds of materials to make the work looked alive and concrete. Otherwise, the artist’s sculpting skill is so excellent that he could well demonstrate the concept of this artwork.
